Yair Har-Oz

Yair Har-Oz

Language Officer

Yair Har-Oz has spent the past five years of his life being addicted to debating and building Jewish-holiday-themed Rube Goldberg machines. Yair claims that his addiction stems from being the youngest of three argumentative siblings, and growing up with two lawyers for parents. Yair is a WUDC breaking adjudicator, winner of Tilbury House IV, and Israel National Open Champion among others. He has also given many workshops on debate and public speaking at Israeli high-schools, universities, and abroad. After many years of debating at Israel’s geekiest university (the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology), he is currently an active member of the Tel Aviv University Debating Society. “I am incredibly honoured to have been chosen to serve the EUDC community as Language Officer at the 2017 Tallinn EUDC,” said Yair.
